Terrain:
Treman Park is about 1000' ASL at the gorge rim peak, and travels to approx 480' lower swimming falls. The trails may look straight forward on a map, but they both bounce up and down along the gorge.  It will make you feel like you did twice the change in elevation that is required to get from one end to the other.  Expect a lot of stairs at the trail entrances at the lower park and a marvelous climb toward the Rim Trail Overlook.

Walking inside the gorge will give you a sight of 100' gorge walls rising up above you.  The water is forced tight in areas, rushing past you and in other places sedately babbling along.

Scenery:
The Upper Gorge Trail is made of stone work and follows the gorge as it twists down to Lucifer Falls. Lucifer Falls is the main attraction as it cascades down 115'.  The Lower Falls that cascade down into the swimming area fall approx 70'. In addition to the large named falls there are a dozen other smaller cascades and waterfalls along the stream that will keep your camera happy.
